   alleluia, Gr. ?, fr. Heb. hall[=e]l[=u]-y[=a]h. See
   {Hallelujah}.]
   An exclamation signifying Praise ye Jehovah. Hence: A song of
   praise to God. See {Hallelujah}, the commoner form.

         I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying,
