Anatifa

Anatifa \A*nat"i*fa\, n.; pl. {Anatif[ae]}. [NL., contr. fr.
   anatifera. See {Anatiferous}.] (Zo["o]l.)
   An animal of the barnacle tribe, of the genus {Lepas}, having
   a fleshy stem or peduncle; a goose barnacle. See
   {Cirripedia}.

   Note: The term Anatif[ae], in the plural, is often used for
         the whole group of pedunculated cirripeds.
