   In honor of Apollo; as, the Apollinarian games.

Apollinarian \A*pol`li*na"ri*an\, n. (Eccl. Hist.)
   A follower of Apollinaris, Bishop of Laodicea in the fourth
   century, who denied the proper humanity of Christ.
