Arterialization \Ar*te`ri*al*i*za"tion\, n. (Physiol.)
   The process of converting venous blood into arterial blood
   during its passage through the lungs, oxygen being absorbed
   and carbonic acid evolved; -- called also {a["e]ration} and
   {hematosis}.
