Calotype \Cal"o*type\, n. [Gr. kalo`s beautiful + ty`pos type.]
   (Photog.)
   A method of taking photographic pictures, on paper sensitized
   with iodide of silver; -- also called {Talbotype}, from the
   inventor, Mr. Fox. Talbot.
