Calver \Cal"ver\ (k[a^]l"v[~e]r), v. i.
   1. To cut in slices and pickle, as salmon. [Obs.]

            For a change, leave calvered salmon and eat sprats.

   2. To crimp; as, calvered salmon. --Nares.
