Carouse \Ca*rouse"\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Caroused}; p. pr. &
   vb. n. {Carousing}.]
   To drink deeply or freely in compliment; to take part in a
   carousal; to engage in drunken revels.

         He had been aboard, carousing to his mates. --Shak.
