Cetylic \Ce*tyl"ic\, a. (Chem.)
   Of, pertaining to, or derived from, spermaceti.

   {Cetylic alcohol} (Chem.), a white, waxy, crystalline solid,
      obtained from spermaceti, and regarded as homologous with
      ordinary, or ethyl, alcohol; ethal; -- called also {cetyl
      alcohol}.
