1. (Cookery) A dish made of fresh fish or clams, biscuit,
onions, etc., stewed together.
2. A seller of fish. [Prov. Eng.] --Halliwell.
{Chowder beer}, a liquor made by boiling black spruce in
water and mixing molasses with the decoction.
