   Composed of corallines; as, coralline limestone.

Coralline \Cor"al*line\, n. [Cf. F. coralline.]
   1. (Bot.) A submarine, semicalcareous or calcareous plant,
      consisting of many jointed branches.

   2. (Zo["o]l.) Formerly any slender coral-like animal; --
      sometimes applied more particulary to bryozoan corals.
