Creance \Cre"ance\ (kr[=e]"ans), n. [F. cr['e]ance, lit.,
   credence, fr. L. credere to trust. See {Credence}.]
   1. Faith; belief; creed. [Obs.] --Chaucer.

   2. (Falconry) A fine, small line, fastened to a hawk's leash,
      when it is first lured.
