Crepitus \Crep"i*tus\ (kr?p"?-t?s), n. [L., fr. crepare to
   crack.] (Med.)
      (a) The noise produced by a sudden discharge of wind from
          the bowels.
      (b) Same as {Crepitation}, 2.
