Deutoplasm \Deu"to*plasm\, n. [Pref. deuto- + Gr. ? form.]
   (Biol.)
   The lifeless food matter in the cytoplasm of an ovum or a
   cell, as distinguished from the active or true protoplasm;
   yolk substance; yolk.
