Weigela \Wei"gel*a\, Weigelia \Wei*ge"li*a\, n. [NL. So named
   after C. E. Weigel, a German naturalist.] (Bot.)
   A hardy garden shrub ({Diervilla Japonica}) belonging to the
   Honeysuckle family, with white or red flowers. It was
   introduced from China.
