Dissilient \Dis*sil"i*ent\, a. [L. dissiliens, -entis, p. pr. of
   dissilire to leap asunder: dis- + salire to leap.]
   Starting asunder; bursting and opening with an elastic force;
   dehiscing explosively; as, a dissilient pericarp.
