Dodipate \Dod"i*pate\, Dodipoll \Dod"i*poll\, n. [Perh. fr. OE.
   dodden to cut off, to shear, and first applied to
   shaven-polled priests.]
   A stupid person; a fool; a blockhead.

         Some will say, our curate is naught, an ass-head, a
         dodipoll. -- Latimer.
