Dwang \Dwang\, n. [Cf. D. dwingen to force, compel.]
   1. (Carp.) A piece of wood set between two studs, posts,
      etc., to stiffen and support them.

   2. (Mech.)
      (a) A kind of crowbar.
      (b) A large wrench. --Knight.
