Embay \Em*bay"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Embayed}; p. pr. & vb. n.
   {Embaying}.] [Pref. em- + 1st bay.]
   To shut in, or shelter, as in a bay.

         If that the Turkish fleet Be not ensheltered and
         embayed, they are drowned.               --Shak.

Embay \Em*bay"\, v. t. [Pref. em- + bay to bathe.]
   To bathe; to soothe or lull as by bathing. [Obs.] --Spenser.
