Emollescence

Emollescence \Em`ol*les"cence\, n. [L. e out + mollescere,
   incho. fr. mollere to be soft, mollis soft.]
   That degree of softness in a body beginning to melt which
   alters its shape; the first or lowest degree of fusibility.
