Eriometer \E`ri*om"e*ter\, n. [Gr. ? wool + -meter.] (Opt.)
   An instrument for measuring the diameters of minute particles
   or fibers, from the size of the colored rings produced by the
   diffraction of the light in which the objects are viewed.
