Eternize \E*ter"nize\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Eternized}; p. pr. &
   vb. n. {Eterniziing}.] [Cf. F. ['e]terniser.]
   1. To make eternal or endless.

            This other [gift] served but to eternize woe.
                                                  --Milton.

   2. To make forever famous; to immortalize; as, to eternize
      one's self, a name, exploits.

            St. Alban's battle won by famous York, Shall be
            eternized in all age to come.         --Shak.
