Exauthorate \Ex*au"thor*ate\, v. t. [L. exauctoratus, p. p. of
   exauctorare to dismiss; ex out + auctorare to bind to
   something, to hire, fr. auctor. See {Author}.]
   To deprive of authority or office; to depose; to discharge.
