Exsanguious \Ex*san"gui*ous\, a. [L. exsanguis; ex out +
   sanguis, sanguinis, blood. Cf. {Exsanguineous}.]
   1. Destitute of blood. --Sir T. Browne.

   2. (Zo["o]l.) Destitute of true, or red, blood, as insects.
