Exsiccator \Ex"sic*ca`tor\, n. (Chem.)
   An apparatus for drying substances or preserving them from
   moisture; a desiccator; also, less frequently, an agent
   employed to absorb moisture, as calcium chloride, or
   concentrated sulphuric acid.
