Gaud \Gaud\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Gauded}; p. pr. & vb. n.

   To bedeck gaudily; to decorate with gauds or showy trinkets
   or colors; to paint. [Obs.] ``Nicely gauded cheeks.'' --Shak.
