Gymnasiarch \Gym*na"si*arch\, n. [L. gymnasiarchus, Gr. ?; ? + ?
   to govern: cf. F. gymnasiarque.] (Gr. Antiq.)
   An Athenian officer who superintended the gymnasia, and
   provided the oil and other necessaries at his own expense.
