   1. The chief of a frankpledge, tithing, or decennary,
      consisting of ten families; -- called also {borsholder},
      {boroughhead}, {boroughholder}, and sometimes
      {tithingman}. See {Borsholder}. [Eng.] --Blackstone.

   2. (Modern Law) A petty constable. [Eng.]
