Heterosomati \Het`e*ro*so"ma*ti\, n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. ? other + ?, ?, body.] (Zo["o]l.) An order of fishes, comprising the flounders, halibut, sole, etc., having the body and head asymmetrical, with both eyes on one side. Called also {Heterosomata}, {Heterosomi}.
