   The act of one who, or that which, hops; a jumping, frisking,
   or dancing.

   {Hopping Dick} (Zo["o]l.), a thrush of Jamaica ({Merula
      leucogenys}), resembling the English blackbird in its
      familiar manners, agreeable song, and dark plumage.
