Intersect \In`ter*sect"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Intersected}; p.
   pr. & vb. n. {Intersecting}.] [L. intersectus, p. p. of
   intersecare to intersect; inter + secare to cut. See
   {Section}.]
   To cut into or between; to cut or cross mutually; to divide
   into parts; as, any two diameters of a circle intersect each
   other at the center.

         Lands intersected by a narrow frith Abhor each other.
