Ipomoea \Ip`o*m[oe]"a\, n. [NL. ``Named, according to
   Linn[ae]us, from Gr. 'i`ps, 'ipo`s, a bindweed [which it is
   not], and ? like.'' --Gray.] (Bot.)
   A genus of twining plants with showy monopetalous flowers,
   including the morning-glory, the sweet potato, and the
   cypress vine.

Tiger's-foot \Ti"ger's-foot`\, n. (Bot.)
   A name given to some species of morning-glory ({Ipom[oe]a})
   having the leaves lobed in pedate fashion.
