   {Kimmerian}.]
   1. Pertaining to the Cimmerii, a fabulous people, said to
      have lived, in very ancient times, in profound and
      perpetual darkness.

   2. Without any light; intensely dark.

            In dark Cimmerian desert ever dwell.  --Milton.
