Ladykin \La"dy*kin\, n. [Lady + -kin.]
   A little lady; -- applied by the writers of Queen Elizabeth's
   time, in the abbreviated form {Lakin}, to the Virgin Mary.

   Note: The diminutive does not refer to size, but is
         equivalent to ``dear.'' --Brewer.
