Lauraceous \Lau*ra"ceous\, a. [From {Laurus}.] (Bot.)
   Belonging to, or resembling, a natural order ({Laurace[ae]})
   of trees and shrubs having aromatic bark and foliage, and
   including the laurel, sassafras, cinnamon tree, true camphor
   tree, etc.
