Liturate \Lit"u*rate\, a. [L. lituratus, p. p. of liturare to
   erase, fr. litura a blur.]
   1. (Zo["o]l.) Having indistinct spots, paler at their
      margins.

   2. (Bot.) Spotted, as if from abrasions of the surface.
