Minish \Min"ish\, v. t. [OE. menusen, F. menuiser to make small,
   cut small, fr. (assumed) LL. minutiare, for minutare, fr. L.
   minutus small. See {Minute}, a., and cf. {Diminish},
   {Minge}.]
   To diminish; to lessen.

         The living of poor men thereby minished. --Latimer.
