Morne \Mor"ne\, a.
   Of or pertaining to the morn; morning. [Obs.] ``White as
   morne milk.'' --Chaucer.

Morne \Morne\, n. [F., fr. morne sad, sorrowful. See {Mourn}.]
   A ring fitted upon the head of a lance to prevent wounding an
   adversary in tilting.

Morne \Morne\, n. [OE. morning, morwening. See {Morn}.]
   1. The first or early part of the day, variously understood
      as the earliest hours of light, the time near sunrise; the
      time from midnight to noon, from rising to noon, etc.

   2. The first or early part; as, the morning of life.

   3. The goddess Aurora. [Poetic] --Shak.
