Morphophyly \Mor"pho*phy`ly\, n. [Gr. ? form + ? a clan.]
   (Biol.)
   The tribal history of forms; that part of phylogeny which
   treats of the tribal history of forms, in distinction from
   the tribal history of functions. --Haeckel.
