Negrita \Ne*gri"ta\, n. [Sp., blackish, fem. of negrito, dim. of
   negro black.] (Zo["o]l.)
   A blackish fish ({Hypoplectrus nigricans}), of the Sea-bass
   family. It is a native of the West Indies and Florida.
