Nematognathi \Nem`a*tog"na*thi\, n. pl. [NL. See {nemato-}, and
   {Gnathic}.] (Zo["o]l.)
   An order of fishes having barbels on the jaws. It includes
   the catfishes, or siluroids. See {Siluroid}.
