Oblivious \Ob*liv"i*ous\, a. [L. obliviosus: cf.F. oblivieux.]
   1. Promoting oblivion; causing forgetfulness. ``The oblivious
      pool.'' --Milton.

   2. Evincing oblivion; forgetful.
