Obsecrate \Ob"se*crate\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Obsecrated}; p.
   pr. & vb, n. {Obsecrating}.] [L. obsecratus, p. p. of
   obsecrare, prop., to ask on religious grounds; ob (see {Ob-})
   + sacrare to declare as sacred, from sacer sacred.]
