Observantine \Ob`ser*van"tine\, n. [Fr. observantin.] (R.C.Ch.)
   One of a branch of the Order of Franciscans, who profess to
   adhere more strictly than the Conventuals to the intention of
   the founder, especially as to poverty; -- called also
   {Observants}.
