   primrose (Enothera), fr. Gr. ? a kind of plant; of uncertain
   origin.] (Bot.)
   Pertaining to, or resembling, a natural order of plants
   ({Onagrace[ae]} or {Onagrarie[ae]}), which includes the
   fuchsia, the willow-herb ({Epilobium}), and the evening
   primrose ({[OE]nothera}).
