Phalangist \Pha*lan"gist\, n. (Zo["o]l.)
   Any arboreal marsupial of the genus {Phalangista}. The
   vulpine phalangist ({P. vulpina}) is the largest species, the
   full grown male being about two and a half feet long. It has
   a large bushy tail.
