Philosopheme \Phi*los"o*pheme\, n. [Gr. ?, from ? to love
   knowledge.]
   A philosophical proposition, doctrine, or principle of
   reasoning. [R.]

         This, the most venerable, and perhaps the most ancient,
         of Grecian myths, is a philosopheme.     --Coleridge.
