Podophyllin

Podophyllin \Pod`o*phyl"lin\, n. [From {Podophyllum}.] (Chem.)
   A brown bitter gum extracted from the rootstalk of the May
   apple ({Podophyllum peltatum}). It is a complex mixture of
   several substances.
