Pogamoggan \Pog`a*mog"gan\, n. [North Amer. Indian.]
   An aboriginal weapon consisting of a stone or piece of antler
   fastened to the end of a slender wooden handle, used by
   American Indians from the Great Plains to the Mackenzie
   River.
