Flower-fence \Flow"er-fence`\, n. (Bot.)
   A tropical leguminous bush ({Poinciana, or C[ae]salpinia,
   pulcherrima}) with prickly branches, and showy yellow or red
   flowers; -- so named from its having been sometimes used for
   hedges in the West Indies. --Baird.
