Portague \Por"ta*gue\, n. [See {Portuguese}.]
   A Portuguese gold coin formerly current, and variously
   estimated to be worth from three and one half to four and one
   half pounds sterling. [Obs.] [Written also {portegue} and
   {portigue}.]
